Rockstar Games reveals Grand Theft Auto V trailer

The much anticipated first trailer for Grand Theft Auto V released by Rockstar Games on 2nd November 2011.

Since the release of the trailer Rockstar Games have released a short statement confirming that they are working on the new installment of the game.

We are very proud to officially announce that Grand Theft Auto V is in full development.

Developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V heads to the city of Los Santos and surrounding hills, countryside and beaches in the largest and most ambitious game Rockstar has yet created.

A bold new direction in open-world freedom, storytelling, mission-based gameplay and online multiplayer, Grand Theft Auto V focuses on the pursuit of the almighty dollar in a re-imagined, present day Southern California.
The trailer creates more questions than it answers because it gives very little away. The sound track for the trailer is provided by The Small Faces, using the title track form the 1968 album Ogden's Nut Gone Flake.  The opening scene of the trailer, a couple walking a dog as the sun sets over a beach, has a real Vice City feel or vibe to it as do some of the following scenes. It soon becomes evident though that the game is set in Los Santos, San Andreas.

The overall vibe of the trailer is that Rockstar Games are creating the ultimate Grand Theft Auto, blending the best elements of Vice City, San Andreas and GTAIV into one game. Meanwhile gaming forums continue to speculate over every pixel of the first GTA5 trailer.

It doesn't take much to set the games forums alight these days!

Grand Theft Auto V Announced by Rockstar Games

Rockstar Games have announced that they are creating Grand Theft Auto V

Rockstar Games made the announcement by displaying this Grand Theft Auto V (Five) logo on their website. The logo, which replaced their entire content, soon began to attract gamers attention. Grand Theft Auto V began to trend on social media websites including Twitter and Facebook. News agencies picked up on the massive trend and reported the story on their websites. Grand Theft Auto game forums began to see huge increases of trafffic and prolific posting of comments and threads about the new game.

The two main points of interest being the V graphic resembling the design from a bank note.  The logo also states that Rockstar Games will release a trailer for Grand Theft Auto V on the 11.02.11 (02 November 2011).

Up until this point there has been no concrete information regarding the protagonist or location of the games setting. There has however been an enormous amount of speculation about both of this topics of interest.

You tube has been flooded with fake GTA V trailers, some of them are fairly convincing, others are poor with awful soundtracks and ugly graphics. The hysteria and interest that surrounds the release of these games is astounding.

On the 2nd November expect GTA V to trend on social media networks again as the much anticipated trailer reveals a small glimpse into GTA five's new world. Let us hope that Rockstar Games servers can cope with the surge of eager gamers.
